National Title Holder and Feature Twirler for Webster County’s Highlander Showband, Micah Smith, showcased her talents at the sold-out Virginia Tech season opener on September 2, 2023 where 66,000 fans filled Lane Stadium. The Hokies played Old Dominion University, while The Marching Virginians hosted their “MV for a Day”. Performing at halftime with the Spirit of Tech were over six hundred high school band members together with twirlers, where Micah shined. Micah is a Freshman at Webster County High School and is preparing to compete this fall and spring in order to qualify for the Miss Majorette of America Competition in July 2024.
